Action in the communityPutting our faith into practice through involvement in our neighbourhood is an important part of our calling as Christians. Some of our activities are listed below click on the links for fuller details. Campaigns for justice and peaceCampaigning for change and for justice inside and outside the church is an important part of our work. All Hallows has campaigned against war and the arms trade, for the diocese to invest ethically, and for Jubilee 2000. In addition, church members are involved in Concord, Church Action on Poverty, the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement and Changing Attitude (see Welcoming lesbian, gay and bisexual people), and other groups. And All Hallows is about to become a Hate Incident Reporting Centre. Projects connected with All HallowsAll Hallows Community ProjectAll Hallows Community Project (including the community café and other events) has grown out of the church and its members interests in community action, and a belief that all Christians are called to build alliances with people of other spiritual traditions and none, to work for reconciliation and hope. The project co-ordinators, Ruth Hutchison and Sandra Scott, are keen to develop the projects and the role of volunteers. Hyde Park Churches Youth ProjectThis joint project with Hyde Park Methodist Church underwent a relaunch in September 2002 with the employment of two new youth workers.
