Going Deeper 2002

This is a course looking at the theological choices within the Christian tradition in an open way.

The Resurrection

This year’s Going Deeper course will take place during the four weeks beginning 16 June. The meetings will be in the Vicarage; dates and time as follows:

• Thursday 20 June at 8.00 pm
• Wednesday 26 June at 7.00 pm
• Wednesday 3 July at 7.00 pm
• Wednesday 10 July at 7.00 pm

The course, which everyone is welcome to come to, will include:

• Watching and discussing the BBC4 programme on the resurrection — an interesting debate between biblical scholars and theologians of different perspectives, including Rowan Williams and Elaine Storkey

• Study of the resurrection narratives in the New Testament

• What is the resurrection? — a look at the theological options.
