Worship and prayer

Each Sunday morning we meet to worship in the eucharist. We celebrate God's presence in our everyday lives, bring to God our hopes and fears, seek healing and wholeness, and find strength and encouragement to renew our commitment to work for justice and peace in the world. This worship is the focus of our shared life. We want to make it easy for everyone to take part fully in our worship of God together, and our style is quite informal. Without losing sight of our tradition, we explore new ways of creative worship, using inclusive language and contemplative silence.

See ‘Cooking up soup for the soul’ and Example of a “Postmodern” liturgy? — some personal reflections on worship at All Hallows.

Sunday services

10.30 am Sharing the Feast of Life — a celebration of Communion for all, with Children's Church

This celebration of the liberating way of Jesus Christ forms our main weekly service. We combine the best of tradition with creative new approaches to make it alive for today. In our worship we aim to be both challenging and comforting, thoughtful and inspiring, open and inclusive. All who gather are invited to share communion — no one is excluded. There’s more about two particular services in A week in the life of All Hallows.
